The role of PEOPLE IN PLACE is to provide a formal forum that encourages and supports consultation between community organizations, employers and clients with disabilities and barriers to employment in the Prince George Area.

The People in Place 2nd Annual Employers Appreciation & Awards Breakfast was held on Wednesday March 10, 2010 at the Prince George Ramada Hotel.

People In Place was proud to welcome Dave Fischl, Workplace Diversity Coordinator with the Government of Saskatchewan. Dave delivered an insightful presentation about The Government Of Saskatchewan’s journey to include people with a disability in EVERY department.

People In Place also presented its annual awards to Prince George businesses that demonstrate exceptional business acumen through their workforce and business practices.

Who is the program intended to serve?

Adults – 19 years and over -- who:

  • Struggled in school with learning disabilities or challenges that limited their success.
  • Continue to struggle in our community because of their low skills in reading, writing and math.
  • Want to increase their chances for employment and personal satisfaction through education.
